  • Admission Process

    At GENESIS, we understand that admission to a nursing facility often causes feelings of anxiety and unease. So, we want to establish a sense of safety and comfort for you right away.

    In the event of a scheduled admission, you will be admitted by members of our Hospital’s nursing staff at either the Central Front Desk or the Accounting Office – Patient Admission Office on the Ground Floor. In case of an emergency, your admission can be processed at the Parturient Front Desk at -1 Floor.

    In any case, admission is processed by the Accounting Office – Patient Admission Office on the Hospital’s Ground Floor, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admissions after 15:00 take place at the Central Front Desk. The following supporting documents are required for the admission process:

    • National ID or passport
    • Social Security Number
    • Referral by your attending physician (if any)

    In the case of foreigners, they are additionally required to show their Residence Permit in the country.

    Discharge Note and Payment

    The Hospital’s Accounting Office – Patient Admission Office, located on the ground floor, is open from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., Monday to Sunday for bill payment. Cash, any credit or debit card (other than American Express), and wire transfers (e-banking) are all accepted forms of payment.

    Please note that the Hospital has a National Bank of Greece Automated Teller Machine (ATM), connected to the DIAS Payment System.

    For your convenience on your discharge day, please remain in your room until the Patient Admission Office notifies you by phone that your bill is ready and you can visit the Accounting Office for payment.

    How to access your Medical Records

    GENESIS, as the Data Controller, must provide copies of the processed personal data whenever requested by the person directly concerned.

    Medical Records of patients who have used the Hospital’s services are strictly personal and confidential; copies are only given to persons directly concerned or to their legally appointed representative after completing and submitting the relevant E74 “Application to Medical Archive” form. All Medical Records are kept in the Medical Archive according to the applicable legislation.

    Documents are issued within 30 days after the submission of an application, Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 14.00.
